The Generosity Effect - Which Three Words?

In order to trust God with our finances, we must put Him first.  You do not need to fear when God is your source. Are you willing to trust God in everything, including being your source of generosity? 

And she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. And now I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it and die.” And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said. We tend to worry sometimes about money because we think it belongs to us but are you willing to let God have full control of your finances?

When we prioritise God in giving, we are blessed until there is no more need and are promised His protection and fruitfulness. Does God have the priority in your fiancés and resources?

This week Pastor Neli talks about money and how this is connected to our heart.  Our heart is often connected to the way we use our finances. Being generous with money is not based on an amount you give but the capacity of your heart. What is God’s heart around finances? If you trust God, you will see fruitfulness is all areas of your life. Who is Lord of your finances?

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. - 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (ESV)

A Light in Babylon - Represent

Who do we stand for and how is our representation glorifying God? Who is pouring into us and where we are to pour out in the overflow. Coming together in church is important, that we are re-aligned again to know who is pouring into us and how to pour out of us being vessels. Pour out and be in positions where you can pour out and see God's glory amongst the people around you. Who do we stand for and how is our representation reflecting God's glory?

 

And you his son,Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this, but you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And the vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. A Light in Babylon - The Window and the Den

We are called to be a salt amidst the hurt and light that will shine forth out of the tombs and dens. How public is your faith in Christ?

Then, at break of day, the king arose and went in haste to the den of lions. As he came near to the den where Daniel was, he cried out in a tone of anguish. The king declared to Daniel, “O Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?” Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! While the words were still in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, “O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: The kingdom has departed from you, and you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. And you shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.” Immediately the word was fulfilled against Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from among men and ate grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair grew as long as eagles' feathers, and his nails were like birds' claws. - Daniel 4:31-33 (ESV)
