Joins us at Brisbane Central as we are join by International City Church Pastor Jonathan Mok. This week Pastor Jonathan helps us to unravel the mystery of one of the first Miracles Jesus had performed, turning water into wine. Do you believe in miracles? Miracles are signs that point to Jesus. The divine reality behind the miracles is more important than the miracle itself.
Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.”So they took it. When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew) - John 2:7-9 (ESV)

Let's hear from Mike as we delve into God's word today
And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother. Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and “God has visited his people!” And this report about him spread through the whole of Judea and all the surrounding country. - Luke 7:13-17

Soon afterward he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him. As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother. - Luke 7:11-15

Let's hear from Mike as we delve into God's word today
Jesus said to him, “Go; your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way. As he was going down, his servants met him and told him that his son was recovering. So he asked them the hour when he began to get better, and they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” The father knew that was the hour when Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” And he himself believed, and all his household. This was now the second sign that Jesus did when he had come from Judea to Galilee. - John 4:50-54

So he came again to Cana in Galilee, where he had made the water wine. And at Capernaum there was an official whose son was ill. When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. So Jesus said to him, “Unless you[a] see signs and wonders you will not believe.” The official said to him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” Jesus said to him, “Go; your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way. - John 4:46-50

Join us at Brisbane Central as we start our new series, Miracles. This week Samantha helps us to understand our responsibility to exercise our faith in Jesus. Do you have enough faith to go to God as your source? God understand your needs and desires and knows the miracles required. Sometimes we’re not willing to have our faith stretched while waiting for the miracles or prayers to be answered. Let’s not focus on the miracle but rather on the miracle worker. Are you ready to see Jesus in a fresh and new way?

After the two days he departed for Galilee. (For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own hometown.) So when he came to Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him, having seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the feast. For they too had gone to the feast. - John 4:43-45
