On The Job

Join us as we continue with our current series, The Greatest Hits.  This week Pastor Neli is joined by Dr Wallace Panlilio, expert in research based learning principles and techniques, to discuss how we interrupt wisdom and learning.  The benchmark for wisdom is the scriptures but what does wisdom look like through a biblical lens? Godly wisdom delights in God’s ways. The gift of God is wisdom, but the choice is yours. Will you choose to live in wisdom or will you choose your own way?

Trust in the Lord, and do good;

God is so much bigger than what happens to us. When was the last time your were grateful and thankful to God? Choose to adore and obey God in your every day life as praise is our genuine response to the goodness of God.

To meditate is to find God in deeper and unseen places.  Try slowing down for loving union with God, hear God's word and let it transform your heart.

Have you ever cried out to God? Do you tend to lament towards God or do you stand and point the finger at Him?  Choose to turn towards God in prayer and bring your complaints to Him, ask boldly and choose to put your trust in Him.

The Deeper Life - Re-Envisioning The Promised Land

Join us as we continue our current series, The Deeper Life.  This week Pastor Neli helps us to reflect on the destiny which God’s has promised.  The Bible reveals God to be Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and who ever does not honour Jesus Christ as God, does not honour God.  The true promised land is in the presence of God. It is not a geographical location. If we are to experience our promised land, we must work to stay in God’s presence.  Are you willing to give up what you think is best for what God knows is far better than your best?

And the Lord said to him, “This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there." Deuteronomy 34:4 (ESV) 

The Deeper Life - Leading Out of Isolation

Join us as we continue our current series, The Deeper Life.  This week Pastor Henry helps us reflect on the journey of Moses with the Israelites.  Have you ever come to a point when you wanted to quit? Our thoughts and attachment to the past can at times keep us captive from moving forward into all that God has for us. Consider the people that surround you. Are they helping you draw closer or further away from God? Who has God placed your amongst to journey alongside?

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Gather for me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them, and bring them to the tent of meeting, and let them take their stand there with you. And I will come down and talk with you there. And I will take some of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you may not bear it yourself alone. - Number 11:16-17 (ESV)

The Deeper Life - The Third Option

Sometimes God can be a third option for to the areas of our lives we need help. What daily rhythms  do you have in your life that build, feed, and strengthen your soul?  Do you trust God enough for your daily portion?

The Deeper Life - Transition and the Spiritual Journey

Join us as we continue our current series, The Deeper Life.  This week Pastor Neli and Tina help us to understand our transitional and spiritual journey. When we progress in terms of God’s will we understand we have an eternal God who has an eternal perspective. The Deeper Life - Living Within Limits

Join us as we continue our current series, The Deeper Life.  This week Pastor Neli teaches us how we can live within our limits so we prevent burning out. You are of no value if you are burnt out. There is a reason God lays out a pattern to include a holy day of rest. How can you honour God by setting limitations so that you don’t burn out but burn brightly for His glory?

Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens. And let them judge the people at all times. Every great matter they shall bring to you, but any small matter they shall decide themselves. So it will be easier for you, and they will bear the burden with you. If you do this, God will direct you, you will be able to endure, and all this people also will go to their place in peace.” - Exodus 18:21-23 (ESV)
