The Antidote - Scarred Promises

Join us for a special Good Friday online service.  Pastor Neli helps us to reflect on the kind of pain Jesus endured leading up to his death.  Jesus knows what it’s like to have and experience ultimate pain. We should not only be reminded of the physical pain Jesus endured but of the sacrifice, Jesus made for us.  The ultimate sacrifice and price were paid so that we are now free by his grace.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,  looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. - Hebrews 12:1-3 (ESV)

The Antidote - Riding Low

Join us online as we continue our new series, The Antidote.  This week Pastor Neli speaks to us about the significance of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey.  Recognition of Jesus Christ and his Kingship comes in our most broken state and understanding that we need to repent.  When we cry out Hosanna, we are acknowledging Jesus is our promised saviour and that He is the only one who can save us.

And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it.  And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields.  And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna! The Antidote - Cross and Crown

Join us via Facebook Live as we start our new series, The Antidote.  This week Pastor Neli makes reference to the Cross and Crown.  When there is turmoil people tend to grip onto anything to give them hope.  It’s one thing to say Jesus is worthy of our trust but it’s another thing to say, "I need to trust him".  Jesus is fully God, all-powerful, all-knowing, knows suffering and depression as well as extreme anxiety.  This is the God we can trust in to be our antidote for our spirit during this time

And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?”  But he remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”  And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”  And the high priest tore his garments and said, “What further witnesses do we need? - Mark 14:60-63 (ESV)

The Church: A non-anxious presence in an anxious world

Join us as we continue our current series, DNA.  This week Henry Peterson reflects on the Book of John chapter 4 to teach us how to go beyond ourselves to connect and engage with people who haven’t encountered Christ.  Do you display Christ when you engage with your community?

Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me all that I ever did.”  So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days.  And many more believed because of his word.  They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.” – John 4:39-42 (ESV)

DNA - Why The Campus?

We can reach nations when we realise the power of reaching a single student. Through that, we can reach entire families and future leaders.
