A Disciple is Loving

A Disciple is...

Join us as we begin our new series, "A Disciple is...".  This week Pastor Neli helps us to understand how God has designed us to be disciples.  Jesus didn’t want to make Christians, he wanted to make disciples.  We have been called to follow Jesus as we walk in fellowship with other believers.

Beneath The Surface - Necessary Endings and New Beginnings

Join us as we end our series Beneath The Surface.  This week Pastor Neli helps us to reflect on past versus future seasons God has for us.   How difficult is it for you to let go of the past so you can make room for the next season God has in store for you?  Do you trust God to bring you through the valleys in order for you to be spiritually strengthened? Have you determined what season you are in now?  Until you can say “I’m here in this season of my life and I’m fully present”, then we can’t fully enter into what God has for us.

Beneath The Surface - Facing The Shadow

Join us today as we continue our series, Beneath The Surface.  Henry Peterson helps us to dig deep to identify our shadow.  Our shadow is the side of us that can erupt into many forms - sinful behaviours, outbursts of anger, resentment, lust, greed, bitterness, even vanity.  The shadow is the most damaged but hidden side of us that comes out when it gets triggered. Are you aware of your shadow and what it looks like?

So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.  Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me.  But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. ”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. Beneath The Surface - Swimming In The Deep End

Beneath The Surface - Living Off The Wall

A wall is when our will meets God’s will, face to face.  Walls can divide us from other people but we need to discover what these walls are.  How do we strengthen ourselves in The Lord when we are facing the wall, and how do we go through that wall?
