Beneath The Surface - Necessary Endings and New Beginnings
Monday Aug 26, 2019
Monday Aug 26, 2019
Join us as we end our series Beneath The Surface. This week Pastor Neli helps us to reflect on past versus future seasons God has for us. How difficult is it for you to let go of the past so you can make room for the next season God has in store for you? Do you trust God to bring you through the valleys in order for you to be spiritually strengthened? Have you determined what season you are in now? Until you can say “I’m here in this season of my life and I’m fully present”, then we can’t fully enter into what God has for us.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man. - Ecclesiastes 3:11-13 (ESV)

Monday Aug 12, 2019
Monday Aug 12, 2019
Join us as we continue our series, Beneath The Surface. This week Pastor Neli helps us understand how to make healthy decisions. The trajectory of your life is based on the decisions and choices you make every day. What you believe will dictate how you live. How do you make decisions? Are they based on what this life has to offer you or are they based on living out the objectives of Jesus?
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. - Isaiah 55:10-11 (ESV)

Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. - 1 Timothy 4:7-8 (ESV)

Beneath The Surface - Facing The Shadow
Monday Jul 29, 2019
Monday Jul 29, 2019
Join us today as we continue our series, Beneath The Surface. Henry Peterson helps us to dig deep to identify our shadow. Our shadow is the side of us that can erupt into many forms - sinful behaviours, outbursts of anger, resentment, lust, greed, bitterness, even vanity. The shadow is the most damaged but hidden side of us that comes out when it gets triggered. Are you aware of your shadow and what it looks like?
So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. ”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.- 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 (ESV)

Know God and the gospel, grow through repentant hearts and honest relationships, remain faithful through trials, and intentionally reach out to the lost. What do your discipleship relationships look like?
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)

Beneath The Surface - Living Off The Wall
Sunday Jul 14, 2019
Sunday Jul 14, 2019
Join us today for our current series, Beneath The Surface. This week Pastor Neli talks about the walls and the struggles that we all face, and how God has taught us to walk through these walls. A wall is when our will meets God’s will, face to face. Walls can divide us from other people but we need to discover what these walls are. How do we strengthen ourselves in The Lord when we are facing the wall, and how do we go through that wall?
David's two wives also had been taken captive, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel. And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. - 1 Samuel 30:5-6 (ESV)

Beneath The Surface - Press The Pause Button
Sunday Jul 07, 2019
Sunday Jul 07, 2019
Join us as we continue our new series, Beneath The Surface. This week Mark and Adele Dellit speak to us about Sabbath rest. Do you tend to lean on your own ability when you're busy? At what cost are you sacrificing your relationship with God for the sake of your busyness? We need to slow down for a loving union with God. We need to slow down and make room for Jesus.
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. - Exodus 20:8-11 (ESV)

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. - Jude 1:24-25 (ESV)

Church In The Wild - Church In The Hood
Monday Jun 24, 2019
Monday Jun 24, 2019
Join us as we finish our series on Church In The Wild. This week Pastor Neli helps us to reflect on the parable of The Good Samaritan and how we can we be a good neighbour to those around us. How observant are you of those in your neighbourhood? How well do you know your neighbours? Choose today to not get so caught up in life that we don’t take notice of those around us who are broken?
Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.” - Luke 10:36-37 (ESV)
