Neighbours - Rock Bottom
Monday Jun 25, 2018
Monday Jun 25, 2018
Join us as we continue our Neighbours series. For a structure to stand the test of time it's necessary for its foundations to be strong. Pastor Neli compares this with our biblical foundations. Your foundations will only be as strong as how much you know God. We know Him through prayer and the knowledge that comes through the word of God. How solid is your foundations? According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 (ESV)

Neighbours - Home and Away: Coming Out of the Bunker
Monday Jun 18, 2018
Monday Jun 18, 2018
Join us as we continue our Neighbours series. This week Pastor Neli encourages us to step out of our "bunker". Let us leave our homes where it's most comfortable because if we are meant to follow Jesus then let us follow Jesus to where the broken are. How ready are you to share the Gospel? Let's not wait any longer.
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
- Matthew 9:36-38 (ESV)

Neighbours - Discipling My Neighbour
Monday Jun 11, 2018
Monday Jun 11, 2018
To continue our Neighbours series, we have Henry Peterson who will unpack John chapter 15 with today's message about "Discipling My Neighbour". In today's message we find out how we can establish foundations for our neighbours, how we can build an environment for discipling them, and what that environment looks like. What did this look like for Jesus and his disciples?
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

Neighbours - What is a Disciple: The Battle and the Blueprint
Monday Jun 04, 2018
Monday Jun 04, 2018
Join us as we continue our Neighbours series. This week Pastor Neli compares the difference between a Christian and a disciple, then describes what it looks like to be a disciple of Christ. To be a Christian means to be in Christ but to be a disciple means to be in Christ and to allow your life to flow out in Christ as well. God just doesn't want Christians, He wants disciples.
“Salt is good, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is of no use either for the soil or for the manure pile. It is thrown away. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
- Luke 14:34-35 (ESV)

Neighbours - Engaging With My Neighbour
Monday May 28, 2018
Monday May 28, 2018
Join us as we continue our new series, "Neighbours". Henry Peterson continues with the parable of the Good Samaritan but then takes a look at our heart when it comes to engaging our neighbours. What opportunities are we missing out on when we struggle with our thoughts and our heart? Will we go to where our neighbours are to see them for what they're going through, to have the compassion for them ignited in us, so that action and movement can happen towards them? How are you engaging with your neighbours?
But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.

Neighbours - Who Is My Neighbour?
Monday May 21, 2018
Monday May 21, 2018
We're starting our new series this week entitle Neighbours. Who is your neighbour? Pastor Neli talks us through the parable of the Good Samaritan and compares the people in the story. Each one of us will find ourselves in this parable. We should try to identify as the Samaritan because it's Jesus Christ who the Good Samaritan is representing. Our neighbour is out there isolated but it's our job as the church to love our neighbour, love God and love people. We love our neighbour by falling in love with Jesus again.
But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.

Prodigal God - The True Elder Brother
Monday May 14, 2018
Monday May 14, 2018
We wrap up our series "Prodigal God" this week. Pastor Neli compares the similarities in the parables between the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost (prodigal) son. The major difference in the story of the lost son is that no one goes out after the son rather the son comes to himself and comes back home. We need to have a sense of elder brother-ship that we find only in Christ. Jesus didn't just go to the far off country, He left heaven to come to earth to reach us. Forgiveness costs, but it was the true elder brother who paid that price. Jesus paid the price so we can come back home.
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Prodigal God - Home and Away
Monday May 07, 2018
Monday May 07, 2018
Join us as we continue our "Prodigal God" series. This week Pastor Neli discusses the Older Brother Syndrome. How many of us come to God giving expecting something in return? As older brothers we feel like we have to earn the Father's love, thinking our righteous activity helps as fulfil our purpose in God. The truth is we have been around the Father's love the whole time but have forgotten, as older brothers, that his love has always been available to us.
And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”
- Luke 15:31-32 (ESV)

Prodigal God - Sons For The Return Home
Sunday Apr 29, 2018
Sunday Apr 29, 2018
Join us as we flow into our "Prodigal God" series. This week Pastor Neli continues with the parable of the prodigal son but tells of the celebration the father has for his son's return home. God is the good father who chases after us. If we are saved and redeemed and God now calls us as a son or daughter, we have every reason to celebrate. Let us not be a church who stops celebrating.
And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.
- Luke 15:20 (ESV)

Prodigal God - Good Good Father
Sunday Apr 22, 2018
Sunday Apr 22, 2018
We are excited to start our new series, "Prodigal God". Pastor Neli refers to the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son and compares the meaning of each. Like the father in the lost son, God is pursuing us. Aren't we thankful that God has pursued us, found us and brought us out of the dark corner which we thought ourselves as incomplete to bring us to a place where there is celebration? Because Christ diligently seeks us, we should do likewise to the lost.
Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
- Luke 15:7 (ESV)
