Get In Shape - Hello From The Other Side
Monday Jan 16, 2017
Monday Jan 16, 2017
Week two in our new series, Get In Shape. Pastor Neli preaches from the Book of Mark and compares our faithful walk with God to having a cell phone. You can't receive a message from Heaven clearly unless you have a connection i.e you were born again. You signal will be the strongest when you walk united in the Spirit of God. If you're not walking with the power of the Holy Spirit you're going to miss what he's wanting to say to you
So that “‘they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven.’”
- Mark 4:12 (ESV)

Get In Shape - The Workout Program That Never Fails
Monday Jan 09, 2017
Monday Jan 09, 2017
Get In Shape is a new series focusing on strengthening our spirit. Pastor Neli outlines a workout program for our spirit which, when strengthened, will give us focus on God's purpose for our lives. We should be developing a lifestyle of prayer and meditating on God's word because when we do, making life decisions becomes a lot easier. We should also preach the Gospel to ourselves and to others and fight for fellowship with other believers.
But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

The Greatest Story Ever Told - Let It Be
Monday Jan 02, 2017
Monday Jan 02, 2017
As we close another series and another year, how will we be remembered? Pastor Neli closes our festive series with this week talking about Mary and how she has been remembered by her reaction to the news she will soon be the mother to the Son of God. Mary is an example of the utter obedience to God. Are we entering 2017 acknowledging God's presence and that he'll give us everything we need this year or are we trying to detach ourselves from the knowledge that He is with us? So let us know God's word, obey God's word and spread God's word, then we can find favour in His presence.
And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

The Greatest Story Ever Told
Sunday Dec 25, 2016
Sunday Dec 25, 2016
Thank you for joining us this Christmas as Pastor Neli breaks down Isaiah 9:6 as we think more about who Jesus was and how we can trust him. We can rest on his shoulders and trust in his wonderful council. We can believe in his almighty power, be fathered by his everlasting love and be embraced by his princely peace.
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
- Isaiah 9:6 (ESV)

Generous - Hoarding By Nature
Monday Dec 19, 2016
Monday Dec 19, 2016
Ending our series on being Generous, Pastor Neli speaks to us about our type of generosity. Are we someone who would hold on to what we have and be seen as a miser? God wants us to be a blessing through our giving but God doesn't want our money, he wants our heart. There is a direct correlation between our giving and our getting but it's what's in our heart that's important, not what's in our hands. We need to start being generous in every way: with our time, talents and treasures.
You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
- 2 Corinthians 9:11 (ESV)

Generous - Stretch Marks: Generous With The Gospel
Monday Dec 12, 2016
Monday Dec 12, 2016
Pastor Neli continues with our Generous series this week and stretches our mindset about the Gospel. The effectiveness of our generosity is always proportionate to our resource capacity. God wants to increase our capacity. He wants to stretch us so we can be a blessing to carry the message of the Gospel to more people that we have ever before. Embrace the process of being stretched and be generous with the Gospel but don't just endure the process, enjoy God in it.
The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will let you hear my words.”

Generous - Daylight At the Candlelight Factory: Stewarding The Shine
Monday Dec 05, 2016
Monday Dec 05, 2016
Week 3 of our Generous series and Pastor Neli talks to us about being a good steward of our time and to be the light God has called us to be. How can we shine the brightest? By meditating in the word, having a strong prayer life, preaching the gospel to ourselves and to others and fighting for fellowship. God has called us to invest as lights of the world to shine in the darkness and invest in ourselves in order for us to draw people to Him.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
- Matthew 5:14,15 (ESV)

Generous - Tithes and Offerings
Monday Nov 28, 2016
Monday Nov 28, 2016
David Coss speaks about Tithes and Offerings as we continue with our Generous series this week. Tithes are the taxes we owe to God and in return, we have His protection over our life. Offerings are the seeds we sow which God can increase into so much more. Knowing this, wouldn't we want to become a cheerful and generous giver?
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (ESV)
