You Asked For It - The BIG Question

We kick start our new series this week with Pastor Neli talking about The BIG Question.  Beginning our "You Asked For It" series we talk about the questions we continually search for answers, mainly "Why am I here?" Everything we see and experience on earth points to an intelligent design, which points to an intelligent designer.  There is an intelligent purpose to why we are here but are we truly enjoying God on a regular basis to find out?

So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.

REALationships - Forgiveness

Tune in this week as we end our REALationship series.  Join us as Pastor Rowena Schuster talks to us about God's design for relationships in the area of forgiveness.  Forgiveness is essential for any healthy relationship with God and with others.  We have biblical responses to the questions "Why should we forgive?" and "How should we forgive others?" as we realise holding on to past hurt is one of the most self-destructive things we can do.  Remember, forgiven people forgive others.

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

REALationships - Discipleship And The Figtree Dilemma

Join us this week as Pastor Neli continues our REALationship series.  The Figtree.  It's mentioned many times in scripture but we'll focus today on the Book of Mark and Genesis.  Pastor Neli compares a tree that bears fruit to that of a disciple of Christ.  We must be prepared to be planted and pruned.  The objective of a disciple is fruitfulness and the Bible promises God will use situations and people to help us be pruned so we can bear much fruit.  

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

REALationships - Marriage: Wedding Ring or Suffering

Let's continue with our REALationships series.  This week we have Pastor Neli and Tina who are speaking to us about Marriage.  We break down scripture from Ephesians 5 and we take a look at real love and respect.  The whole purpose of marriage is not to see what we can get from our significant other but finding the right person who we can serve the rest of our life.

This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.  However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Fasting

Join us this week as we welcome special guest Pastor Erwin Balanay to get us excited about Fasting.  What are the biblical examples of fasting? What does it mean to fast and what are we fasting for?  As fasting reveals what controls us, fasting will also reward us but fasting must be done for God.  We must seek the Lord through prayer and fasting.

When I poured myself out in prayer and fasting, all it got me was more contempt.

REALationships - DAD: The Endangered Species

Let's continue our REALationships series this Father's Day with talking about Dads: The Endangered Species.  Pastor Neli compares manhood with the men of The Bible but links manhood with responsibilities.  Statistics will show Fathers are the answers to a lot of society's issues.  How men represent themselves has a great impact to those who see and look up to them.  How will you represent yourself?  Who are you wanting to reflect in the way you live your life?

REALationships - Keeping It Real

Join us again this week in our REALationship series as Pastor Neli is Keeping It Real.  We take a look at the story of Ruth and Boas and compare our love in relationships with that which C.S Lewis describes in his book "The Four Loves". Whether we display love for family, brotherly love, love for ourselves or a boundless love that only God can have, how are we bringing honor to God in our relationships? What does it mean to have God in our relationships?

REALationships - Through The Roof

Join us as we start our new series called REALationships.  This week Pastor Neli talks about friendships.  In particular "Through the Roof" kind of friendships. We read through Mark chapter 2 as Pastor Neli reveals the kind of friends the paralytic man had with him the day he was lowered through the roof to see Jesus.  What kind of friend do others see in you?  Are you willing to take persecution in order to help your friends?  Will you be called a friend who brings them to Jesus?

And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

Honouring God Loving People

Join us again this week as we talk all about Love and our commandment as a church.  Every Nation Brisbane would like to always Honour God and Love People but what does it mean to love?  We talk about The Bible's definition of love by following through 1 John 4 but what does it mean to love?  To Love is to abide in God, to see Him and confess and to take your love to the world.  If you are so in love you will be bursting to tell everyone about it.  That's how we should represent our love for God.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God

Advance - You Can't Take It With You

Join us this week as Pastor Neli continues our Advance Series from our new venue SunPAC.  Today's episode comes from the book of Luke.  Jesus' picture of heaven is a feast and with the embracing of Jesus Christ we are coming into the banquet which has been already prepared for us.  How many of us have been invited but we've been hindered by our excuses?  When we start to value our stuff more than Jesus Christ, His banquet no longer looks appetizing.  We must remember, in the presence of God, there is the fullness of joy.

And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.
