Small Things BIG Differences

Ps Neli begins a new series this week.  Small Things, BIG Differences.  At Every Nation Brisbane we are crazy about God and we are committed to grow in the knowledge of who He is in our lives.  We all have an opportunity to lean on Jesus Christ when we deny ourselves and follow God.  We all have a choice to follow God as our beliefs grow.  When we have our beliefs rooted in Christ, our values and how we put them into practice will see a natural growth in His Kingdom.

"Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life."

More Than A Song - In Times Of Injustice

Ps. Taulu Schuster keeps our series coming with Part 4 this week about worshiping God in the times of injustice.  In times of injustice we want to get even, we want to get justice for these wrongdoings.  We let the ideas of this world rule us in the area of injustice.  We therefore become lead by things of this world rather than being lead by the Spirit. Worship is what we do to trust God for what He does for us.  

God will protect us (Psalm 7:1)

God will vindicate us (Psalm 7:8)

God's people will worship Him (Psalm 7:17)

God is our vindicator when we worship Him in times of injustice

More Than A Song - Worship Through The Seasons

Part 3 in our series on More Than A Song.  This week Roisin Welsh shows us the seasons we go through with God.  There's a time for everything and God has made everything beautiful in His timing. God is in charge of both the times and the seasons.  What season are you in?  Will you listen to the voice of God for direction or witness a repeat of the lessons God is teaching you?

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

More Than A Song

Rowena Schuster tells us the importance of worship and our need to build the right relationship with God. Worship is honoring God in everything we do and naturally happens when we're in a relationship with God.  So we should pursue relationship, not religion.  

Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.

Core - Discipleship

Rebecca Dew continues our Core series this week by speaking about being in a discipleship relationship.  It is so important to understand the key foundations to discipleship by building the relationship we have between each other and and with God.  Discipleship is Learning, it is Relationship, it is Healing, it is Wisdom, it is a Legacy. 

Core - Spiritual Family

Pastor Sam Webb enriches our lives with the importance of a spiritual family.  Family is Family is Family is Family.  It's also a place to develop transparency and being accountable for our actions and behaviours. Pastor Sam reminds us to inquire about a spiritual family, invest our time, talents and treasures into the family and invite others to be part of our family.  

You can bless many things but you an ultimately only build with family. 

Core - Outreach

This week we continue in our series Core with today's service about Outreach.  What is done in secret and what is unseen is the foundation of outreach. The deeper we are planted in God, the higher we grow and reach out. The nutrients of what we need to love and outreach is found in a deep foundation in Christ. Effective outreach can only be gained by digging deeper.  The more we dig, the more we will discover His heart beats for the lost people. If we really get into Gods presence He breaks our heart for the lost and broken allowing our evangelism to flow naturally. Matthew 7:16-20 explains that we are recognized by our fruits.

"You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits."

Core - Worship

Continuing our second week in the series 'Core' we look at our value of worship. True worship is what is done in the secret place (Matthew 6:6-8) enabling us to face trials with a strong foundation. To find what worship is we read from Romans 12:1.

1 - Worship is Glorification (What takes your time, money, passions)

2 - Worship is Sacrifice (What you are willing to sacrifice)

3 - Worship is Attributing Worth (What you are willing to attribute worth)

Calling upon the Father who is unseen, we need to acknowledge the Lord in the secret place. He is worthy of our praise! Taking time to lift His name above all else, you'll be amazed!

Core - Values

Beginning our new series 'Core', Pastor Neli brings us a message about who we are as a church. Christ-centered and Spirit-empowered! We value Worship, we value Discipleship, we value Outreach and we value Family. God has empowered us to serve and He wants us to value Him more and subject ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Matthew 6:24-25, When we have fear or when we are anxious may we learn to "Sit- Down" and fully trust God. He always comes through. More than Enough! 

Frequency - 7 Questions for Godly Transitions

Pastor Neli Atiga poses questions to us which we must ask ourselves before tackling the big things in our lives.  There are 7 questions for Godly transitions which will assist us to seek the right council before stepping forward down the path to change.  

1. What is the Holy Spirit saying?

2. What does the Bible say?

3. What does wisdom and wise council say?

4. Are there ulterior motives?

5. Where will you grow the most in God?

6. How will you help others to grow?

7. Is God done with you where you are?
